JavaDocs are mostly automatically generated documentation for Java code. They require nothing from the developer but the code itself to function and produce something. At the same time, they offer many options to the developer that wants to go into great detail documenting code. I love the results produced by JavaDocs, but it is very time consuming to flesh out details. All source code files have been fully JavaDoc'ed and new files will have their JavaDocs filled out while they are being written.
